Ruksanaben a proud owner of a cloth shop, has seen a life where she has to struggle for money even for her survival. She lives in a joint family with her husband, 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter), mother-in-law and an elderly aunt. Ruksana’s husband was also suffering from depression. She didn’t have money to treat her husband, at the same time all her three children were studying. It was very difficult for her to manage her day to day expenses. Ruksana became a member of SaathMahila Savings & Credit Cooperative Society Limited. Initially, she applied for a loan of Rs. 10,000/- from which initiated a small business, she purchased clothes and started selling them on the roadside. Slowly her business got established and she hired a shop. Rukshan made repayment of the loan on time and request SHG members to provide her with another loan of Rs. 20,000/-, from her second loan amount she purchased readymade garments. Rukshan’s business is flourishing and she is earning well to support her family.
Rukshanaben shared that she is happy to be part of SaathMahila Savings & Credit Cooperative Society Limited as it thought her importance of savings and financial sustainability. Because of their support she can get her husband treated, who is now comparatively well and supports Rukshanaben in her business.
